Humanities
As a student at the Faculty of Humanities, you can broaden your horizon and gain international experience by studying at a university abroad. You have a great number of programmes and destinations at your disposal, offering you many options to choose from.
Exchange programmes first semester 2021-2022
In April, the Executive Board decided to cancel all exchanges for 2021-2022 due to the corona crisis. Recently, the Board decided - under a number of conditions - to allow the physical exchange programmes to continue in semester 1 of academic year 2021-2022.

Erasmus+ Exchange Programme
The Erasmus programme enables you to go on exchange within Europe for a semester or a whole academic year. You can choose from more than 90 destinations! -
Global Exchange Programme
Outside of Europe, you can use the Global Exchange Programme, which also includes over 90 universities. Students of all disciplines are eligible for these exchange programmes.

Horizon Fund
The Horizon Fund has been set up specifically for students who have not yet received a grant, but who do wish to go abroad to study, do research, do an internship, attend a summer or winter school or visit a conference. -
Other international opportunities
The UvA cooperates with a large number of universities and offers UvA students a lot of international input through summer programmes and student conferences. -
