Exchange, internship, research or master
As you know, studying abroad costs money, usually more than studying in the Netherlands. Travel expenses, accommodation and other expenses ask for a well in advance prepared budget, even if you still do not have a conformation of your stay abroad.
It is difficult to say how much money a stay abroad will cost. To get an idea, read student reports (available at the Information Centre) and the brochures and websites of universities.
Budget
Make an expense budget on time, even if you have not been admitted officially at the foreign university. Please check the Budget per country (in Dutch) to get an idea of your expenses.
Part-time employment
You can also seek part-time employment in the host country. Different rules apply for each country. For more information, visit the Nuffic website. There are also different grants and funds available.
